No entry will be roceived for any of the races except upon this condition— That all disputes, claims, and objections, arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint ; their decision ou all points connected with the carrying out of this Programme to be final. All Entries and Acceptances must be iu sealed covers addressed to the Secretary, Timaru, and tontain entrance, money, sweepstakes, description, age, and name of Horse, and colors to be worn by the Jockey, and must be in the hands of the, Secretary by 9 p.m. on above dates. No late letters or telegrams received after that hour. South Canterbury Jockey Club Eules will be strictly adhered to. Hack races to be ridden in proper Jockey costume. In the ovent of a person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider tho protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent will be deducted from tho gross of all moneys paid in accordance with (the programme, for expenses, and when not otherwise specified, all entries and acceptances to go to the funds. , F.
