The market rate of discount is unaltered at 3 per cent. Consols 98 J. ; . New Zealand securities— s per cent 10-40 loan, 10U ; 4| per cent 1879-1904 loan, 101 ; 4 per cent inscribed stock, Colonial Breadatuffs — Adelaide wheat, ex store, 365; Adelaide flour, ex store, 25s 6d ; New Zealand wheat, ex store, 28s to 345. Tallow and hides are without quotable change. The city of Dublin is being very generally decorated in view of the visit of the Prince and Princess of Wales to Ireland. The Commission of Enquiry which has been sitting for some time to adjudicate upon the claims of German settlers to land in the Fiji Islands, has concluded its labors, and the Commissioners are now preparing their reports. The. members of the Commission are said to be in acoord on the question, only a slight divergence occurring in their finding. The Times this morning announces that peace has been concluded between France and China. It is stated that although the terms of peace are partly based on the treaty concluded by Captain Faurnier at Tientsin in May last, no indemnity will be claimed by France, as was the case in that compact.
