Medical. From Dr. EWART. I am very much ' pposed to patent mediines generally and totally discountenance the alsams, oxymels, elixirs, syrups and other manstions of unprincipled empirics ; but I egard your Lung Preserver as a really good 'reparation, entirely free from tbose qualities rhich render m st patent medicines dangerius and possessed of those tonic and stimulaog properties which render it a treasure to hose who suffer from the exhausting effects if pulmonary disease and chest affections [enerally. In cases of asthma it quickly ,'uts short the paroxysm. In chronio bron,'hitis or winter cough it is useful -j the disiharge of mucus is greatly assisted, and the vheezing and difficulty of breathing are rreatly relieved by it. In acute bronchitis it s also beneficial, and whilst it tends to check nflammation, it promotes expectoration, and hus relieves the laborious and difficult breathng so general m these attacks. As a Coilgh Medicine, for persons of all ages, it is ex;ellent. From Rev. W. B. MARTEN, Wesleyan 'Minister. Christchurch, 2nd August,: 1872.
