THE NEW ZEALAND CONTINGENT.
(By Telegraph.) CHBISTCnUECH, Feb. 22. There is great enthusiasm among the Volunteers here m regard to proceeding to the Soudan. Several oflicers and men have expressed their readiness to join a Kew Zealand contingent if formed. It is calculated 2.J0 partly-drilled men could be enrolled easily. Pobt Chalmers, Feb. 22. The Port Chalmers Naval .Artillery have offered to proceed to the Soudan. The men are principally seamen, and if then: offer is accepted they would be found very useful. Duitedin) Feb. 21. Up to noon to-day Mr Fulton had received applications from sixty persons willing \o undertake service m the Soudan. One lady offered to go as nurse.
