The barqnentine Handa Isle is expected to bs ready for sea to-day. She takes a cargo of produce to Auckland. Tho schooner Onward came alongside the wharf yestorday, and commenced loading for a Northern'port. The s.s. Taiaroaleft Port Chalmers at 6.35 on Monday evening, and arrived off this port at daylight yesterday. She had fresh N.W. winds and slight swell on tha run up the coast. In addition to a very large cargo she brought a good number of passengers. After tiking m some 700 cases of meats, eto., she left for Dunedin abont 5 o'clock last evening. Mr A. White's barquentiae Annie Bow cime up and anchored m the outer roads at daylight yesterday morning. Captain Stevens reports leaving Newcastle on the 26th June with moderate winds, which soon increased to a heavy gale, lasting for three days. Then had had moderate winds again and fine weather. Made the Solandere on Saturday morning, a heavy gale and fearful sea running. Was off Oamaiu on Sunday, and drifted about ever BrncG,8 r ncG, making the port as above. Tho Annie Bow has 403 tons of coal for her owner and 4500 feet of cedar for Mr J. Jackson, and she will be berthed inside the Breakwater this morning. The Union Company's s.s. Mahinapua did not leavo Greymouth until yesterday, being bar bound at that port. She is expected to arrive here late to-night, or early to-morrow morning. We draw the attention of merchants and shippers to an advertisement of the local agents of the Union S.S. Co. relative to the ranning of steamers during the remainder of thi3 and next week. The ship Dunedin, 1250 tons, of the Shaw S ivill and Albion Company's fleet, was yesterday berthed at tho new wharf m Oamarn H irbor, to load frozen mutton for London. The N.Z. and A. Land Company, who are going toload her, commenced killing yesterday, t'-.cir slanghter yards being connected by rail with the wharf. "It is," remarks the North Otago Times, "a subject for congratulation that the works at the harbor have been advanced to a stage never contemplated when they were first undertaken, but which the B >ard have of late years bent all their energies to reach. This has been accomplished after much trying and ardnona labor. We are now m a position to ship all our products direct to foreign markets, without risk or danger to the Yeßsels that come here to load." (By Telegraph.)
