Melbourne, J une 3. Cancel Anglesey from the Sydney ' entries for the Cup, and substitute ■ King's Own. The total number of horses m for the Gup is 134. For the Champion Race 46 horses have been entered. The i ontrios for the Canlfiold Oup are not yet 1 complete. [Beoeived noon, June 3rd.] Sydney, June 3. Owing to warnings received from Home i precautionary measures are now being , taken for the protection of the locvl , publio buildings. Eighty-one horses havo i been entered for the Great Metropolitan Stakes, to be run for at the A.J.C. i Spring Meeting. ' [Eecoived 9.50 p.m., Juno 3rd.] The steamship Albion, which returned ' to port with disabled machinery, resumed her voyage this morning for Wellington. Sailed, this afternoon — Union s.s. Hauroto, for Wellington. In consequance of the warning which has been received by the authorities re- ; garding the projected attempts to destroy • tho publio buildings m this city, the City • of Sydney will be strictly searched for ' explosives on her arrival from Auckland.
