The report that Hollinahed and Tetlej had become insolvent is devoid of truth Arrangements have been made foi an exhibition to tako place m 1886 or the aite now occupied by the Inter national Fisheries Exhibition. It wil! be confined to products of the various English c ilonies. Two disastrous explosions, for which no explanation c.in be given, occurred last evening on the underground metropolitan railway. Thirty persons were seriously injured, and the buildings above tho tunnel were shattered by the force of the explosion. Paris, Oct. 30. In the Chamber of Deputies, M. Cliallemol Lacour was questioned by the leaders of the Radical party regarding the intentions of the Government m connection with the expedition to Tonquin. In reply, M. Lacour stated that the French Government had resolved to push their operations m Tonquin firmly and rapidly. A debate on the subject ensued, but was ultimately adjourned. »
