The following scratchiugs for the Melbourne Cup were posted this afternoon : Black Diamond, Dunstan, Raillery, Ericthoneiiß, Prometheus, Sensation,, Silver Arrow, Suwarrow, The Vagabond, Tnimp Yoss, Wahgunyah, and the Wizard. Tho Merchant Shipping and Underwriters' Association report under date London, October 27th, that salvage operations upon the wreck of the ship Mirzapore, which went ashore near Boulogne, commenced on that date. The contractors have undertaken to discharge the cargo and, if possible, float the vessel. The success of the operations depends on the continuance of fine weather.
