Tho taid hedgehog was brought out from England some throe yours ago by a gentleman to Christchurcb. After passing through »overal vie >ple's hands thire, a friend of mine purchased him. After having him a Bhort time ho forwarded him to me, and after I had him o short time, aome of the bi>j s went to feed him and carelessly left the door of Imb pen open, so ho quittly disapneared Thinking he was about the place, 1 did i.ot raise any alarm, as I felt sure that I should find him somewhere about the farm again. The place from where he escaped to where he was found is ab ut a mile distant. If there is any mure information you or your correspondent would like m reference to my pot hedgehog I shall be most happy to give it to you, and at the same time thanking you uii'l your correspondent (Mr Oorham Lambert) for taking so much trouble m making the finding of my pet hedgehog public, whioh has been the means of my Snding him ; and I aUo thank Mr R.
