The present intention of this Company is to arrange for Shipping the surplus Stock m Vessels fitted with Refrigerating apparatus, loading m Timaru Harbor, and Freezing the Carcases on board, until the development of the business points to more decided steps being taken m establishing Refrigerating Machinery ashore, and to acquire a suitable site for erecting Slaughtering Premises at some convenient point near the Railway line, which would answer all the requirements of the District at present. Thereafter it would be within the scope of the Company's operations to develop the business further by adding other necessary appliances to the business which might bo found desirable to increase the profits of the Company by utilising the various products resulting from the Company's work, such as Rendering Tallow,' Fellmongering, and the other incidentals accompanying such establishments. The Company, at first, do not intend to purchase on their own account, but, m order to keep up the character of the Export Trade, reserve the fullest power to pass for shipment only such Meat as is considered Prime and Fit for the Home Markets, reserving power, m the Articles of Association, to Purchase at a future time should the Shareholders of the Company then see fit to do so. The Company does not expect that much Capital will be required at first, and decide to form the Company as soon as applications for 3000 Bhares are applied for.
