[Received 1.10 a.m., Aug. 17th.) Sydney, Aug. 16. White, tb.e Melbourne absconder, who was arrested here to-day, was on board the steamer Lady Bowen, and had taken a passage for Brisbane. He was subsequently brought np at the Police Court and remanded for a week.

the Railway Bill, providing inter alia for the appointment of three Commissioners m addition to a Minister, was passed through all ita atages. Mr Redmond, the Home Ruler, dolivered his farewell lecture here this evening, prior to his departure for New Zealand.
