To be called up as follows :— Five Shillings per Share on application, Five Shillings per Share on allotment, and Calls of not more than Ten Shillings per Share at intervals of not less than three months. Provisional Dieectoes : Messrs Wm. Postlethwaite, W. U. Slack, Robert Fish, Rev. George Barclay, Robert H. Postlethwaite, Walter Moore, B. Bailey, Louis Grant, Alex. McKenzie, Kyran Brophy, David Shaw, Jeremiah Connolly, N. Duulop, Robert Skinner, Wm. Coltman, Job Earl, John Mundell, Alex. Kelman, E. H. Templar, James Gregg, Wdliam Shiers, John Allan, F. R. Flatman, Thomas Farrell, Edmund Burke, Amos Sherratt, W. E. Barker and others. Bankbhs : Bank of New South Wales. Secretary : Mr J. Y. Ward. THEASUBER : Mr John Cunningham. Solicitor : Dr Foster. Broker : Mr W. S. Maslin. Tho Provisional Directors present this Prospectus to the public generally, and at the same time would direct the special attention of Farmers m the immediate district to some of the advantages secured by making Dairy Produce under tho Factory system. (1.) It is an accepted commercial axiom that whero tho greatest quantity of any article can bo made at a given price the profits thereon aro greater, and the success of the enterprise is more fully assured. (2.) Tho cost of manufacturing is proportionably loss to the quantity made by the minia of prico paid for the raw material, the economising of the necessary labor, the use of tho best and latest machinery, and the centering of all tho operations m one establishment specially designed for the purpose, the whole being carried on under the supervision of a thoroughly practical Manager, thereby securing tho utmost quantity obtainable from tho raw material and a uniformity of quality which becomes m the markets a standard commodity of a certain value. (3.) A combination of capital and the interests inseparable therefrom, as herein proposed, opens for itsolf a market of consumption no privately directed scheme can ever attain, whilo the opportunities for improvement are immeasurably greater, and the certainty of more speedy returns at tho highest rate 3 secured. (4.) In the sale of his milk to the Company the Farmer finds a sure nnd easy way of at onco of converting this resource into cash, as it is intended to settle for tho milk by monthly payments, thus avoiding on the one hand tho disposing of cither the milk or its produce at a prico frequently unremunerative, with v maximum amount of labor and risk, and on the other hand being placed m a position to avoid the credit and exchange. systems with their attending drawbacks. (5.) Accepting tho possibility that a market must be entered outside the boundaries of the Colonies, the now established steam transit to tho Old World, and the improvements of tho refrigerating principle, place the Homo Markets so near that a field fov all the goods manufactured is open at but a fraction over the cost of sending to markets nearer to our door. (6.) Waste m connection with a properly conducted Dairy Factory is prevented, as every particle of waste is utilised m feeding pigs, and they m course are brought to tho credit of revenue m tho shapo of Bacon and Hams. (7.) From tho foregoing considerations tho Provisional Directors bavo confidence m presenting tho claims of this Company to tho farmers of the district, as, by them being shareholders m tho venture, they not only secure a ready market for their milk and pigs but a participation m the profits of the concern. That these aro m the highest degree satisfactory from an investor's point of view, the reported success of Factories already m operation, and the nunibor of new Companies now starting m various parts of the Colony is conclusive, while to the Public generally it may bo affirmed that an investment with better prospects is rarely over brought before their notice. 6-9 5932.
