Tho Sydney Town and Country Journal of June 3rd reports as follows : — WHZAT. This market is fairly supplied, and millers are not anxious to buy m face of the California^ wheat advised to arrive ex City of Sydney, now hourly expected, and sailing ships. A portion of tho last shipment is still m first hands, having been offered at auction several weeks successively without finding purchasers. Although the grain looks, well m some packages, yet we are under the impression that the millers think their stocks qnito large enough at present. Quotations — Adelaide wheat, 6s 5d to 6s 6d; New South Wales, 6s to 6s 6d ; Victorian, 6s ; Launceston, 5s 6d ; New Zealand, 5a to 5s 6d per bushel. Messrs Mort and Co. brought forward a catalogno of 3139 bags of wheat on Thursday, consisting chiefly of parcels from California and New Zealand. The whole of tho California^ was. cleared at 6s 3d per bushel. Now South Wales parcels sold at up to 6s 9d por bushel ; pollardi realised Is GJd per bushel. At auction sale on Thursday 1500 bags of feed and milling oats wero disposed of at from 3s Hid to 4s Id ; black oats realised 5s Id per bushel. K.OUB. Tho holders of first-class brands of flonr are firm. We hear of New Zealand flour offering from .£l2 5s to £13 10s, without findingbuyers, and other inferior brands from the various colonies at a shade under our quotations. Sydney mill flour, superfine, is selling at .£ls; household, £14; seconds, at .£l3 per ton ; New South Wales country brands, £14 10s to .£ls s Victorian, .£l4 to £15; Adelaide do, £14 15s to £15 per ton ; bran and pollard, Is 8d to Is 9d per bushel. The wook just olosed has boon exceedingly quiet, the weather lately experienced having no doubt interfered with operationa, -Wheat — Beat samples are quoted at 4s lOd to 4s lid, and second erode at 4s 8d to' 4s 9d. The demand for chick wheat continues excellent. For seed parcels 5s and upwards is asked. OaU— The market has not altered m any ' way. Best milling stands at 3a 3d to 3s 4d, ' and feed lots at 3s Id to 3s 2d. Barley— Wo i have nothing to report m connexion with this grain. A few lots nave been sold at 4s 3d to 4s 6d, and fox prime 4s 7dto 4s Sd has been obtained. Flour— The millori still quote £11 [
10» Sharp* and beam are unohanged. For potatoes the enquiry is weaker and values are not so strong; prices stand at 34a to 35a. Dairy produce— The demand for bntter continue! good, and Is J» Is OJd is quoted. Cheese is m fair request at sd. . '
