(Pbess Association Tiikobam.) Wellington, June 14. A deputation of Wellington Licensed Victuallers to-d*y waited on Messrs Hntohison, O. Johnston, Fitzgerald, Weston, Munro, Daniel and Suttoo, 41 H.R.'e, placing before them several amendments which tbey asked •hould bo introduced into tbe Licensing Act. The members mentioned expressed their willingness to assist the deputation as much as possible. (Feom Oue Owk Cobbesfondiht.) Wellington, June 14. The proceeding* m the House to-diy were very tame. There wai a long debate m tho nfternoon on Mr Daniel* nautical motion, and another m tho evnning on Mr Feldwick's i Press Telegram Bill, m whioh latter Mr Joyce made himself conspicuous by tome 1 offensive allu'ion to the Ministerial section of ' the Press. The Bill i* likely to pass with some modification m Committee, tbe proposal I for a copyright period of 36 hours being pro- ' bably reduced to 18 or 21 hours. Major Atkinson tonight it much the same, ) and it is doubtful whether he will be fit to i bring out hit Budget on Friday, but it will be given if poisible. ) There aro increasing rumors as to the proi bability of the loan being postponed till next i year.
