Beyond the sale of grain at the Studholme Junction Stores of the New Zealand Loan and •Mercantile Company, early m the week, nothing has transpired m the grain market dnring the week. There is an ontsido inquiry for wheat, and, m some degree also, for oats, several buyers from other districts having lately paid Timaru a visit, though there is nothing like an active demand for either cereal. Quotations, for delivery m Timaru are— wheat, 4s 5d to 4s 7d, with a shade extra, for really prime lota ; oats, 2s lOd for feed to 3s for milling sort 3, demand slack ; barley, nominal, at 3s 6dto 4s 6d, according to quality and threshed condition.
