COURSING.

On Friday Inst the South Canterbury Coursing Club held tbe second meeting of the season at Pareara, whea the President's Cup wet run. The weather was very uncomfortable m the morning, but an improvement took place about noon. A start was made abont eleven o'clock, and hares' being numerous, the ( Cup was won by two o'clock. At the conclusion Mr A. Turnbull, manager of the , Pareora Estate, treated the spectators to a capital luncheon, Mr Turnbull receiving three , hearty cheers for his hospitality as his guests ; parted from him.
