Pratt, were fined one pound each for neglecting to have (heir dogs registered. BIIIWU OPFKMOES. W. Burnt was summoned for leading bia hone and c»rt along tho railway near WaiUki bridge. The defendant pleaded guilty, but said he did not know the place, and took -the wrong tnrn'at Waitaki North to crois the bridge. Fined £2 and costs, 10« ,6d, M. Studholme was summoned for allowing cattle to trespass on the railway near Studholme Junction on the 6th ult. Mr O'Meagber appeared for the defendant. .The defence waa that the fence was insufficient, and that part of tho fence not far from where, the cattle were seen was broken, It was shown by the evidence of : Saunders ! that tho cattle broke through. the. fence, and w?re ran into by the train, three of the cattle beioe killed. ' ■- ' 6 Mr O'Meagber laid a similar cate awaited the decision of the District Court at Oamaru', and asked the Bench to reserve decision until after the District Court decided on it. : The ' Bench reserved their deoision to the sth proz. This waa a. claim for an amount dne for goods supplied to the defendant, and fot damages alleged to hare been sustained by the plaintiffs by treipan of defendant*! pigs at Tarious dates. In some of the items claimed for damages the plaintiff a could not identify the pigs as defendant's. ' . Judgment was given for the plaintiff for £3 15s 6d, with costs £2 11s. Biqkman v. Wei wood— Olaim, £23 Bs. . ; An application was made by the defendant for re-hearing of a> casa m whioh judgment was given for the 'plaintiff on the 10th ult. The case was adjourned to the 21st instant. , : Manchester and others v. Pox— Claim, £2 19s Id, judgment summons.
