Melbourne, Jan. 26 (morning). Another case of sickness has occurred on board the P. nnd O. steamer Mivzapove. The disease is suspected to be etnallpox, but the doctors are unable to pronounce defiuitely until it is further developed. Later. Six of the Mirzapore's passengers have been landed to-day at the Quarantine Station. This includes nil those who are now ill or sickening. A Syndicate has been formed here with a view to undertake the construction of the southern portion of the Transcontinental-Queensland Railway. Brisbane, Jan. 26. General Fielding, who recently completed the survey of the proposed Transcontinental railway to the Gulf of Carpentaria, has submitted a proposal on behalf of a London company to the Queensland Government for the construction of the line. The proposal has, however, not been accepted by Government, and certain terms offered by the latter have accordingly beeu referred by General Fielding to the London Syndicate.
