PLEASANT VALLEY.

The annual meeting of householders was ' hrld m tlie schoolroom on Monday, January 23rd. There were fifteen householders pro--1 sei t. In tbe absence of Mr Wm. Quilford, 1 Chair mnn ol the Committee. Mr K. Brophy was vote:! to the chair. The advertisement calling the meeting, and the sections of the 1 Act bearing on the election, wer< then real. ' The minutes of the la-t annual meeting were read and confirmed, and a short report of the 1 year's work was submitted. ' Thirteen gentlemen we-o then nominated 1 as members of the Comraitiee for tho ensuing year.of which the following (even were declared ' duly elected. Messrs A. Lycagbt, Jamot ' Gregan, K. 8.-ophy, A. Kennedy, Wm. Bnnis, ' Wm. Quilford aud Wm.Bencelt. After lbe publio meeting the newly-elected ' Committee met, all being pretent with the ' exception of Mr A. Kennedy. Proposed bj | Mr K. Brophy, seconded by Mr A. Lysaght . and carried — "That Mr Wm. Quilford be Chairman of Committee for the en.«u : ng year." 1 Proposed by Mr Wm. En ma, seconded by Mr | Wm. Guilford and carried—" That Mr Ki'.g . be Seccetury to the Committee." Proposed by Mr K. Brophy, seconded by Mr Quilford, and . carried — " That the Committed meet on the first Saturday m every month." The meeting then adjourned to the first Saturday m February.
