POST-SESSIONAL ADDRESS,
MR H. FELDWIOK, M.H.R., AT INVEROARGILL. [Br Tblbgbaph.] INYEBOAEorr.I., June 19. Mr Feldwiok," M.H.R., addressed a large meeting of the electors to-night m the Theatre Royal, Mr Pratt m the chair. The speech waa principally a resume of tbe;procecding9 of last session. The speaker compared his promises made at the hustings with his performances m the House, with a result favorable to himself. With regard to the Education question, he said he was m favor of free and Becular education, and as for Bible reading m schools, he thought that if a conscience olauße were inserted m the Act, the Biblo might be read as an historical work. He was not m favor of a Local Option Bill unless compensation to publicans was provided. He said that he would not be one to take away the licence from a well ordered hotel. He spoke generally and warmly m favor of the Ministry, and stated that he would continne to give them his support. He would support moderate immigration, as public works and immigration must go hand m hand. At Lhe conclusion of his addreaß he received an unanimous vote of thanks and confidence.
