Mails close at the Chief Post-office, Timaru, subject to the necessary alterations, aa under : — For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Southern Cross, on Tuesday,] 3rd June, at 0 a.m. For NorthernJPorts 'of | New Zealand, per Hawea, on Wednesday, 4th inst., at 6 a.m. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe and America, India, China, llediterranean Ports, and the Australian Colonies, via Brindi«i and Southampton, per Arawata, on Wednesday, 4th .'une, at 12.40 p.m. Honey Orders and Registered Letters, at 11 a.m. Correspondence intended to be forwarded by the above mail must be specially addressed.
