AERIVED. Nil. SAILED. Jan. 2— Helena Holmes, for Wellington. Jan. 2— Albion, s.s., for Bluffy Jan. 2— Tararua, s.s., for the North. Wellington, Jan. 2. Sailed — Lady Bird, for Lyttelton and the South, at '.S ' p.m. Passengers — Messrs Duncan, Parsons, Pliarazvn (2), Ryatt, and Mrs C. Nieholls. Arrived — Rangatira, s.s., from Napier; Laurel, schooner, from Ilobarton. Sailed — Wellington, s.s., for Nelson. The ship Pleiades, from London, has arrived. She brings about :JO passengers, but no Government immigrants. No deaths, sickness, or accidents occurred during the voyage. The passengers all speak m terms of the highest praise of Captain riutton and the treatment they experienced. During the passage the Pleiades spoke the barque Clara, bound from Havannali to Melbourne, which reported having lost her captain and five men from yellow fever a week after leaving port. The Douglas was also spoken, and wished to be reported all well. She was bound from Liverpool to Melbourne. Nelson, Jan. 2. Arrived — Fernglen, ship, 80 days from London, with 225 immigrants, and six cabin passengers for Wellington. There were three deaths of children and one birth on tho voyage. She will probably proceed to Welington with all her immigrants to-morrow, they being principally for Wanganui. Bluff, Jan. 2. Captain Hughes of the s.s. Oreti fell overboard while crossing the New River bar, and was drowned. His body was recovered very quickly, but all efforts to restore animation were unsuccessful. The Norval, from London, is at the Heads. She left on October 2nd.
