ABBIVKD. September 3— Jessie Niccol, schooner, from Macquarrie Islands. BAILED. Nil. The achooner Joasio Niccol, from the Macquirrio Islands, bring* back Captain Donald Sinclair and three men, who have been seaelephant hunting for the lust nine months. On May 14th Captain Sinclair's rifle eiplodod. The ball passed through his left hand, rendering it useless. Ten days later a heavy S.E. sea swept away the men's huts, and carried with it food ol every kind, together with 15 tuns of oil, the result of their labors. They existed until the arrival of the Jessie Niccol, on August 18th, on a few biscuits, some oatmeal, and eea-elephants' flesh. The Jessie Niccol left the Islundß on the 28th August, and arrived this morning. .Russell (Bay of Islands), Sept. 3. The Rotorua arrived here from Sydney to-day. Sha brings Baker and Farron's dramatic company of 40 members, and 460 tons of cargo for Auckland, nud 235 for the ' Sooth. The passengers for Lyttolton aro four steerage. AtrcitLAirD, Sept. 3. The brig Moa arrived from Timaru to-day. She reports fearful weather and a hurricane on the 22nd, and tremendous seas for three days. Shs had to throw overboard twelve .tons of flour. The seas swept over the decks, but no damage was effected (beyond the loss of several sails. Waitab*, Sept. 3. . The s.s. Go-a-head arrived from Manukau to-day. The Captain reports that when six miles off Waikato he picked up a ship's boat 18 feet long, painted white over black inside, and black over white outside, with brass cleats, one iron-bound black swivle book, ■with a foreign rope pully, m the stern. The boat was quite sound, with three new knees and new thwarts. From all appearances, it has nob been long m the water. The boat does not belong to the Eaiuina, which vessel is missing. Wbllihgton, Sept. 3. Sailed— At 8.30 p.m., "Wakatipu, for Sydney, with 22 passengers. Bluff, Sept. 3. Arrived— Albion, s.s. She left Melbourne on the 29th, and experienced fresh north-west winds all the way. She leaves for Dunedin at 4 p.m. Passengers for Lyttelton -Messrs Oakley, Mason, Ballance, Loth, McKellar. Torrenco, and Miss McDonald.
