The last division of pfofits took place m 1874, and the cash surplus then divided amounted to £235,000, giving additions to policies averting £3 per cent, per annum on the sum assured. The .bonuses paid on policies becoming Claims have' varied from £15 per cent, on fche sum assured for a policy of five years', standing to £150 per oenfc for one of twenty-five years' duration. Bonuses become vested additions to policies wben they have been full five years m force.
