The Arawata arrived at 6 a.m.; left Sandridge at 12.30 p.m. on the 20th, with the Suez mail, 26 taloon und 30 steerage passengers, and 347 tons of cargo for all ports. She sails at 4 p.m. for Dunedin. She experienced light winds and fine weather till clearing Swan Island ; then it freshened till the 23rd, when a heuvy S.S.W. gule was met, with hi^h breaking sea and fierce squalls. The gale moderated at midnight on the 24th. Saloon passengers for Lyltelton : Mrs Phillips, Mrs Hall, Messrs Thomuß (2), Salthoute, Disher, White, and Young; also, 6 steerage, and 40 tons of cargo.
