PRINCE IMPERIAL is rising six years ; stands 162 hands high, ib a beautiful bay color, is of great strength, compactly built, and of very superior action. He wa9 shown as a two year-old at tbe Taieri and Dunedin Shows, and at Oamaru as a three-year-oIH, each time gaining second prize. Sire, Emperor. — Emperor has gained three first and three second prizes. Emperor's Sire, Napoleon ; imported by J. Nimmo. Napoleon, by George Buchanan's Emperor, is out of Nancy (imported), bred by Alexander Finlay, Esq., Sandyhilla, near Glasgow. Nancy, by the celebrated Garvery Horse, and her dam by Scotsman. Nancy was first shown as a three-year-old, and got firßt prize at Hamilton, first at Ballieston, second at Glasgow, and second at Kilbride. She was next year shown as a brood mare at Glasgow and Kilbride, where she received similar honors. PRINCE IMPERIAL is out of the imported mare Lillie, bred by Robert Finlay, Esq., Eenmuro, Old Munkland. Lillie gained first prize at Carranwath, first at Gatehouse, and first at Glasgow when three years old before leaving Scotland, and six first prizes pince soming to Otugo, and was never beaten m her day. Lillie's Sire Clydesdale Bob gained first prize at th.3 Highland Society's Show at Perth. His Dum was the celebrated Huckwood mare that was shown out of the Lanarkshire Farmers' Society. Lillie's Dam, Magpie, gained first prize at the Highland Society's Show at Glasgow, m 1857. A free Paddock for four weeks ; afterwards, 2s 6d per week. Every care taken, but no responsibility.
