IMPORTS AND EXPORTS OF BREAD STUFFS.
[From the New Zealand Herald, October 26. A partial return to an order of the House of Representatives, on the motion of Mr Creighton, has been laid upon the table. Ifc covers the financial year 1871-72, ending on the 30th of June last, and is a continuation of a return of a similar character furnished last session. From the return wo make the following abstract : —
It will therefore be seen that besides supplying the home demand, New Zealand exported a surplus of breadstuff's during the past financial year, representing the sum of £ 38, 883, being the difference between the import and export values. „ .
