"Herald" Otliee. Mr R. Turnbull held a sale, on the ISfch, at Waimate, the surplus stock of drapery of Messrs Manchester Brothers and Goldsmith. The attendauee at the sale was fair and the prices realised were satisfactory. On the 19th, a sale was held of horses, tip drays, and miscellaneous articles, the property of Messrs Bruce, Winter and Lumsden, road contractors. The attendance was thin, and most of the horses were bought iv.
