Exhibitors m private classes will not be called upon to pay entrance fees if the stock shown compete m any of the advertised classes ; and extra stock or implements, which are not exhibited m any of the advertised classes, will be admitted into the show ground, with (lie consent of the Stewards, by payment of 2s Gd. GENERAL REGULATIONS. 1. All implements to be on the ground by 10 o'clock on Monday, October 21st, on which duy the. implements will be tried. 2. AH cattle, pig?, and poultry to be on the ground by nine o'clock on the day of show. 3. All merino sheep to be yarded by 0" 11.111; long-woolled sheep by 8 am. on the show duy. 4. AH horses to be on the ground by ten o'clock on the day of show. 5. All horses must be haltered and led, and one man must be m attendance with each lot of horned cattle. G. AlLsei-i-uui-s m cliiii-gc of ofoct, admitted free,- and subject to the order of the Stewards and Secretary. Servants will, however, require to be m possession of a free ticket, which will bo furnished them on application to tho Secretary. 7. Exhibitors will be required to state as accurately as possible, nt the time of entry, the date of birth of all stock m classes where the nge is specified ; also m sheep, tho date of shearing. 8. Pedigree of all thoroughbred horses must be deposited with the Secretary at the time of making entry. 0. Exhibitors of poultry will be required to find their own pens. 10. No stock or implements exhibited to be removed from tho yurd until four o'clock on the day of show, except with the conseut of the Stewards or Secretary. 11. The. Stewards will not, under any circumstances, hold themselves responsible* for loss, damage, or misdelivery of stock or implements exhibited ut the show 12. In the event of ties for any prize, tho winner of tho largest number of first prizes takes precedence. The points for prizes will count, as follows : — lst prizes, three (3) points; 2nd prizes, two (2) points ; 3rd prizes (represented by v highly commended ticket), one. (1) point 13. The winners of cups will not, be entitled to receive tho medals representing the points (first and second prizes) by which tho said cups were won 14. No cups will bo given unless there be at least twenty (20) exhibits by not less than three (3) exhibitors 15. No stock will bo allowed to bo exhibited m moro than one class except for private prizes 16. AH protests must be left with the Secretary beforo 2 o'clock on the day of the Show 17. All stock, &c, shown must bo tho bonafide property of tho exhibitor. N.B. —Winners of ineduls mny, if desirous, receive the money value of same ty giving notice to the Secretary on or before Saturday, the 2Gth day of October. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE JUDGES. In " Merino Sheep," the Judges ore required to take into consideration the following points: — Fiueuess, length, closeness, and quality of staple ; also, symmetry aud /rume of the uuimnl. In " Sheep besb adapted for grazing on cultivated grass m encljsed hind," — They aro directed to award the prizes to the sheep they consider best adapted for tho purpose, irrespective of breed. If m the opinion of the Judges, sheep havo m tiny way been tampered with m shearing or otherwise, the Judges aro directed to pass over such timinnls. In " Horses," t hey aro directed to award prizes only to horses which they consider sound, m classes 4, 5, and 6, m the draught and 5, 6, 7, and 8, m " Other horses." In the other classes, they uro directed to pass over all uniinala which, m their opinion have any hereditary unsoundness. In classes 3, 6, and 7, m "Other horses," they are directed to take into consideration principally weight-carrying capability combined with activity. In tho event of their being no competition m any class, no prizo will be given unless the Judge 3 certify to particular merit. And Judges are specially requested to withhold prizes m cases even where there is competition, if the exhibits are of inferior description. Tho attention of the Judges is also directed to the 16th General Regulation. Gates open to the public at noon : admission 2s Gd, after 1 p.m., Is. H.BELFIELD, Hon. Secretary.
