Miscellaneous. TJOLLO WAY'S PILLS. Pure Blood. — As the vital fluid when m a healthy state sustains and renovates every part of the system, it is abundantly manifest that any medicine that does not act powerfully upon the blood can never exterminate rooted disease. Tiie Heart, Lungs, Liver, Stomach, Kidneys, and Bowels. — This medicine acts immediately upon all these mainsprings of life, stimulating and restoring them to a healthy action. It is the greatest purifier of the blood ever known ; has the largest sale of any inedi-cine m the world ; and is advertised hi every language, and is used by all classes from pole to pole. General Disorders of the Liver and Stomach. — The average duration of the human life might be almost doubled by giving careful attention to what we eat and drink, but as few will exercise this caution we must have at hand an effectual remedy for restoring those great organs, the liver and stomach, to healthy action. Such as indulge at table, either m eating or drinking, should take about ten of these famous Pills at bedtime, from which will result a clear head and good stomach the following morung. Thousands of laiiies are always complaining of sick headaches, want of appetite, want of energy, and want of strength ; to correct all these evils, three or four of these Pills should be taken twice a week, when they would enjoy the health aud appetite of a ploughman. Females of all Ages and Classes. — The fame of these extraordinary Pills is partly based upon the beneficial effects they have upon the constitutions ol females. Obstructions of any kind, either m young persons, or those between foity ami fifty years of age — the most critical period of life — may be radically removed by using thjse Pills according to the printed directions which accompany each box. Young persons with sickly and sallow complexions, aud even mothers of a similar unhealthy appearance, may have the bloom of health restored to their cheeks by this wonderful corrective, which purities the blood and expels all gross anil impure humours from the system. Beware theu the critical age from forty to fifty, it sends so many thousand mothers to a premature grave, — these Pills should be takeu at that periud of life two or three times a week, aud by so doing there is little to fear. Children and their Ailments. — The measles, thfi cow-pox, the small-pox, the hooping cough, aud many complaints to which children are heirs, should be treated as follows. Let mothers when they see such diseases approaching bruise two or three of the Pills, according to the age of the child, giving them night and morning m a little water m the form of a powder ; this invigorating medicine will remove" and cure all complaints incidental to childhood. Want ok Strength and Energy. — Persons of sedentary habits, or troubled m mind ; or working m factories or Coal-pits, or such others who cannot obtain that amount of fresh air and exercise which nature requires, suffer from weakness or debility, lowness of spirits, and want of appetite. All such should take a dose or two of these Pills every three or four days, as they act gently and effectually on the system, imparting vigour and energy to the body, which is always followed by a good appetite, sound and refreshing sleep, with a high liuw of spirits. Every family and traveller should keep a box of these invaluable Pills by them against all emergencies. The following are the regulations regarding the Post-oih'ce Savings' banks, which have, been established at (.'hristchurch, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akaroa, WaunaCe, Hokitika, aud Greymouth : — 1. Interest at 5 per cent, per annum is given on sums less than £200 ; at 4 per cent, per annum on sums over £'2i)o and uot exceeding £500 ; and m the same proportion tor any shorter time on every complete £1 deposited; no interest is allowed ou more Chan £500. 2. Depositors m Post-oifice Savings' Banks have direct Government security for the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor m any Post-office Bank can continue his deposits at any other, and can withdraw his money at that n^^st convenient to him. 4. The strictest secrecy is observed with respect to the names of the depositors, and amounts of their "deposits. 5. Married womc may deposit money m Post-office Savings' aHks, and money so deposited will be reL 'd to the depositor, unless her husband gi s notice, m writing, of marriage, and claims \ vment of deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on behalf of minors. Depositors over seven years of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7. Applications to the chief office m each province on the business of Post-office Savings' Banks, and the replies sent thereto, are free from charge for postage
