London, April 10. Mr Gwynn Las been unseated for Brecknock. The Prince and Princess of Wales arrived m Dublin on the 6th April, and were most cordially received. Severe gales have occurred m the English Channel. A Bill has been introduced authorising the Queen to create four life peerages annually for distinguised services; the total number of peerages not to exceed twenty-eight. The Bill was read a second time. Maharajah Dhaleep Singh has been declared magistrate for the county of Suffolk. In Spain a stormy discussion has taken place m the Cortes, on forming a Government and the election of a King. The Duke De Monspensier is announced as the probable candidate to the throne. A loan of £25,000,000 is proposed. The amnesty for political officers is postponed, m consequence of some conspiracies and outbreaks. Don Celestina Olozaja, first Secretary of the Spanish Chamber, was killed m a duel. The insurgents of Spain are compeltely vanquished. The dispute between France and Belgium is m a fair way of settlement. A fortnight since affairs looked exceedingly warlike. The Belgian Chamber has abolished imprisonment for debt. The Dutch Chamber has abolished newspaper stamp duty. The Porteguse Government have decreed the abolition of slavery throiigout their dominions. Agrarian outrages have been committed m Ireland. At the Cape of Good Hope a tract of country, four hundred miles long, nnd one hundred and fifty broad, was utterly destroyed by fire. The German Parliament has adopted a motion m favour of a Responsible Federal Ministry, notwithstanding Count Bismarck's opposition. The British Consul has been recallek from Formosa, his proceedings there having been condemned. 'ihere is an agitation movement for the release of the American citizens imprisoned m England now m progress A speedy settlement of the Alabama differences is still thought not improbable. Mr Bright has written strongly to Mr Summner on the subject. The Republicans carried the day at the Connecticut elections. Mr Motley has been selected to fill the post of American Minister m England. Reverdy Johnson announced his resignation. Latest Atlantic cable telegrams state that Congress has passed v Bill moditying the Tenure of Office Act. The FFouse of Representatives adjourned, authorising the President to recognise the independence of Cuba, when the Republican Government was established. The Legislature of Newfoundland have passed a resolution m favour of confederation. The Hudson Bay Company have accepted the proposals made by the Government for surrender of their territory. Parnguaryan news are conflicting. Lopez is still a fugutive, yet people cling to him.
