WAIAMATE ROAD BOARD.
The annuel meeting of the Ratepayers of the Waimate District took place at the Waimate Hotel, at noon on Thursday last, the sth instant. . The three retiring members of the Road Board were Messrs H. R. Parker, Buckluy, • and Graham. There were four nominations for the vacancies m the B*oard, viz., Messrs Buckley, Graham, (r. B. Parker, and James Bruce. - The "names of each candidate having beeu put separately to the meeting, the show of , hands was declared to be m favor of tho first three. A poll was demanded on behalf of Mr James Brace— the result of which ou its ■ close at 4p. m. was as follows : — Buckley 99 ; Bruce 83 : Graham 83 ; G. B. Parker G2.
