New Advertisements. AROWHENCA PLOUGHING MEETING, 1868. 'T'HE above meeting will be held at the -*- Farm of Mr Mcßratney, near Mr Pat--5 terson's Hotel, on FRIDAY, the 11th day 1 of SEPTEMBER NEXT, when the following Prizes will be given :— SWIKO PIiODQHS. First Prize — Chaffcutter, given by Messrs Recce & Co , with £2 added Second Prize, £4. Third Prize, £2. Wheel Plottohs. First Prize— Prize Harrows, (given by Mr Floekton), with £2 added Second Prize, £4. Third Prize, £2. Extra Prize (given by Mr Wilcox) for best ploughing m either class. CONDITIONS : Ploughmen to be on the field at half-past 9 a.m., to receive tickets, and to start at 10 o'clock. The flag to drop at 4 p.m. and any ploughman not having ( finished then to be disqualified. Ploughing not to be less than 4| inches m depth, and not more than 9 inches m width. Each ploughman to get up two feirings and plough ten equal ridges m half a chain. Land to be ploughed, not less than half an , acre each. ' - Entrances to be made at Mr Patterson's Hotel, on Thursday evening, the 10th September next. Post entries up to .9 o'clock, * the next morning, 2s 6d extra. Entrances— los m each class. Ploughmen to be provided with dinner free. EXTRA PRIZES. For best pair of groomed horses. For best kept harness ' . For best pair of horses for agricultural purposes.
