The Chairman was requested to reply to the letter dated 17th July, " referring the Secretary for Public Works to letters received by this Board dated 23rd February, 1865, and 11th April, 1865, by which the Board considers the Government undertook the necessary repairs of the bridges on the Main South Road— as distinct from the amount granted to this District by the Council. That on this understanding alone the Levels Road Board caused the repairs of the bridges, and this Board is now therefore under the impression that at this moment they have only received the grant of the Councd for the past year —minus the sum spent m the repairs of the three bridges on the Main South Road. The Board therefore request the very serious re-consideration of the matter on the part of the Government." Also, to request the sum of £100 placed to the credit of the Board.
