■ ""'"Q i TE AEOHA, Nov. 29.' , On Saturday night Mr P. Johnson, one of the settlers residing at Waitoa Bush, was wending his way home i about 11 o'clock, and when about , opposite Mr Brennan's properly, was knocked down by one of a party of horsemen, gallopiug in that direction. The parly mentioned galloped on with renewed vigor and left the wayfarer to his fate. However, shortly after a more humane paity passed along the road and cane across Johnson; who 1 was found in a somewhat dazed state, with several ribs bioken. He was brought back Jo Te Aroha and attondtd to by Dr. Cooper, and up to latest was doing as well as could be expected.
