For the fust day of the Wauganui Jockey Club's Autumn foeetiug the weather, was not very good, but the raid held off. There was a good attendance,* and speculation was brisk. The following are the results :-

Stewards' Stakes.—Sylvia Park, 1; Indian Shot, 2 j Miller, 3. Won on the post. Dividend, £5.

Hurdles—Splinter, 1; Pokomoko, 2; Dummy, 3. Won by «■ length and a half. Dividend £3 17s.

Hack Hurdles. Wbangaroa 1, Watershot 2, First Result 3, Won easily. lime, Umins 35 3>ssecs; dividend, £2 3s,

Cup.—Douglas 1, Explosion 2, Battleuxe 3. Also started: Wak> rongomai, Coronet, Cour de Lion, Uhlan, Rubin, and Toa. Toa led for the bbst part»of the way by about three lengths, but Douglas, Battleaxo, and Explosion soon moved up, the former "eventually winning by three leugtha. Time, 3min 6|secs; dividend, £4 15i.

Two year-old, Stakes, - Rosella I, Hastings 2. Won all the way There we're two investors on the machine, £1 onetich. Dividend, £1163.
