Buckley wrote stating that he was agreeable to pay the sum of £5 per year for the right to remove tailings from the foreshore between Goods Wharf and Curtis' Wharf.The matter was referrei to the Harbor Master to report on at the next meet, ing of the Board. Representatives on Board,—A com< muiucdtion was read from the u'oun.y Council stating that William Deeble uad been appointed as the Council's re presentative on the Board ; from the Marine Dapartmeut, Wellington; to the effect that Messrs Gillespie and fotts had been appointed the Govern ment representatives; from the Borough C6uncil saying that William Davey was appointed the Borough's representative; from the Piako County Council appointing Mr R. W. Bagnall as representative for that Oouuoil, and from the Ohinemuri County Council stating that James MpAndrew had been appointed their representative on the Board,

Harbor Master's Report. —' Tia Harbor Master's report was received and adopted. fcundry.— The Registrar General wrote asking for details, which were orderedto be supplied. Valuation.—A notice was reoeived from the .Borough Council to the effect that the allotment and powder magazine at Taruru'had been on the valuation list at a rateable value of £55, and the remainder of the fores shore, at £1000,- With regard to the latter it was resolved that the Secretary and Chairman be empowered to lodge an objection at the next sitting of the Assessment Court, and that ttie Chairman and Messrs Gillespie and McDonnell be appointed a committee to wait on a committee appointed by the Borough Council to asuertain if some arrangement cuuld not be come to.— I'be Borough Council is to be asked to appoint a committee for this purpose, finance Committee.~Oh the motion of.,Mr McDonnell the whole of the members of the Board were appointed a Finance Committee. General Purposes Coinmktes—All the members of the Board were alsp appointed a General Purposes Com* mittee.
