CRICKET.
A meeting of the Managing Committee of the Cricket Association was held in Mr J. Muir's rooms on Thursday evening. There were present: Messrs Derecourt (Chairman], Donovan, Muir hud Carter. It was agreed that the unfinished match, Rover v.Tararu, be finally arranged on Saturday 14th before play commences. A letter from the Ohinemuri Association was read agreeing to play a "rep." match on the 4th February. The Secretary was instructed to make all arrangements for the game and the entertainment of the visitors! Play will commence at 10 30 a.m.' /letter from the Auckland Uinpires v aud Scorers Association, asking tor'the cd-openitibn of the local cricketero in the Association's work was read and received. It was resolved to ask the local umpires and scorers to work with'the Auckland Association ind thus, further the interests of cricket, A vote of thanks to Mr Muir tor the "use'oi his room, and the usual compliment to, the Chair terminated the meetihg,v ' ,'
The following will represent Foundry today:--Ist: Buchau (2>, Rudkin, Kearney (2), Darrow, Gibbons, Day, Rockleyj Chester, and Towers. 2nd: Newman, Watson, Price (2), Scott, Mclntyre, McDermott, Gordon. Gibb, Akers,.and Robinson.
