(by oorbespowdent) Auckland, December 22. Convictions were secured in each of the cases of sly-grog Belling at Te Awamutu. ' Hon." A..J. Oadman, Minister of Mines and Railways, arrived here from the Thames last evening by a through train, and left this morning by steamer for Ooromandel in order to attend a banquet lo be given there to \fr H. P. Hornibrook. He returns to Auckland on Saturday, and leaves the same day for Northern Wairoa in order to spend' Christmas with his children at Mangawhare. Mr Wilson, Mr Oadman's private secretary, left for Wellington to-day.
