, Ikvercabqill, September 24. Faiiny Hall, boarding house keeper, was fined £100 for sly'grog selling, in default, two months, Defendant hjid previously served a month for a! similar offence,. The evidence showed that prohibited persons were ;in the habit of frequent; ing the place and obtaining liquor. The principal witness was' a strange policeman, who-stayed in the house for 12 days representing himself'as a jpckey, and afterwards as ■a- deserter from a warship. •'
