THAMES HAURAKI.
The discharging of the machinery from, the scow Havoc for the Thames Hauraki Company is creating a good deal of interest. Both on Monday and yesterday .Short.land wharf was crowded with a number of ppople watching the proceedings, and the waggons and teams there loading up presented quite a busy appearance. The machinery is being couveyed to the Company's works by Mr P. Maxwell. The largest part of it, however has now.been removed, and tho work of discharging .should, be completed to-day.
N,Z. JUBILEE GOLD MINE.

This company started to crush, on Friday.- It is ouly, of course, a trial of the engine and plant, and for the moment five stampers only are at work, The Jubilee boasts'quite a large staff, an assayer and an engineer having recently been added. ■ '• j ALPHA. The Waitekauri Age states that the Alpha road is now completed, with the exception of the upper cutting.
