Found Drowned.

AucKLMiD, April 21, At the inquest into the circumstances ■surrounding the death of George O'Connell, whose body was found in the harbour on Tuesday, no important faces were elicited Constable Henry stated that deceased, ', Trhquo he had kuowu; for maqy years, and who at one time was headmaster of qne,of the. iNew Plymouth schools, \vas>amandf'intemperate habits',and separated from, his family. . The manager of the Costley Home,. where deceased hail, resided for a month, stated ilmt bof.'ire O'Connell left .the institution they, li.ad a discussion as to ' suicide was justifiable, and ,w tney had agreed that suicide could not be .justified under any circumstances. The jury returned a verdict to the effect that deceased had met his death by drowning, but that there was no evidence to show how he had got into the water.
