Press Association.) Auckland, March 23. The case, Caroline Parry v. George Crotheis, a claim for £200 damages for • breach of promise of marriage again occupied the attention of the Supreme Court to-day. The defendant did not put in an appearance, and after hearing the case for plaintill His Honor in summing up said that no doubt the verdict must be for plaintiiF whoso evidence was clear and ulraightforward. He hoped with regard to the borrowed money that it would be dealt with in another place. The plaintiff was fortunate in not marrying such a scoundrel as defendant. The jury retired, and after a feiy'ininutes' deliberation brought in a viiidiot for the tull amount claimed, His Honor entered up judgment accordingly with costs on the lowest settle,
