The weather is line overhead, but the tracks are heavy, whilst the atmosphere: is cold and raw, consequently no good time test has been recorded in the linnl gallops for the Newmarket Handicap. This morning at Flemington Aroha badly beat Waihine in a five furlong spin in linin 7Jscc. Courallio, Foliage, Gehenna, Acton, and Disparity sluvped best over six furlongs, but nothing better than
Imin 20 |soc, by Acton, was registered. Thuudcr Queen spurted over five furlongs in talcing style in lmin Bsec, and Lord .Richmond wound up a splendid gallop over U miles in 2min S.I see. Moorite nod Mundva shaped very badly in the heavy going, but Uudgeree pleased his trainer, who fancies his Newmarket show. Slumber, Eridsforde, and ftarlstorm were associated in a striding gallop of a mile, the former, who moved very freely, having all the best of it. Courallie and Maluma, were well backed last night for the Newmarket .Handicap at 100 to 8 each,
