A man named Mitchell succcedcd iu getting a wire off from Murchison for the polico in spite of the danger he was exposed to f as Hiir* greaves swore he would shoot anyone who attempted to go! othe telegraph office. All Saturday night the place was in uproar and guns were being fired con.inually. The store was stripped of everything with the exception of a little beer. After taking May off tiie fire, they burned all his clothes. He is very much burned, but hopes are entertained that his life may be spared, A constable went up from Lvell at 3 o'clock on Monday, and found "it necessary to swear in four special constables as Hargreaves declares he will not be taken alive. This occurred j in what is known as the Lost Tribes district.
