It now only remains for the shareholders to be consulted, and the necessary legislative action taken to complete matters. {By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, September 11. The "Post" states: "Wβ understand that negotiatians foi , the amalgamation of Colonial Bank and Bank of New Zealand are in such an advanced condition, that the proposals are likely to be in the hands of the Government within the next 38 hours."
