The Judge summed up strongly against the prisoner, and pointed to the lack of motive to connect Thompson with the crime. A painful scene occurred-when the verdict was announced. The' prisoner • crying to the gallery where Thompson was sitting, said: "God help your sins, Ted, and God help my mother and my. baby. The hearing of the further charges against Knorr and her husband have been postponed.
