About midnight, howovor, a constable onco moro camo across tho übiquitous " Jack Tar," who for tho third tirao was very much under the influence of drink. Ho was lying in Rattray street by tho footway, apparently undor tho delusion that ho was in his bunk. Although it was a bitterly cold night, and the snow was lying thick on tho ground, ho bad divested himself of tho greator portion of his olothing, utilising his coat as a pillow for his head. Ho was rudely awakened from his dreams by tho officer in blue, and onco moro placed under lock and key at tho polico station.
