The number of voters on tho new electoral rolls for the Victorian Assembly is 290,020, being an increase on the year 1888 of 28,418 ratepaying electors, and 17,885 .nou'ratepaying elector?. How many people are there who are per* feotly well, who do not have hfad«ashe nor jtomaclnache, are perfeotly free from all manner of pain, who get up every momma brimful of energy and elasticity? If wc would take our. constitution as nature gives them to us, and; instead of tewing them down by dissipations imd neglect, would make it .a part of our daily lives to cultivate vigour and vitality, increase our strength and husband pur physical rfsources, we might go on improving until we were fifty years old, for a, welloared'for braio prows until that time and why not the bodily vigour bb well ? Instead, we begin very early to draw upon our reservo force and are sometimes bank. rapt at twenty five or thirty. In suoh a state of affairs as this, ibe most ttmt cm bo done is to put on a stop'COck which will out off all waste of vitality. Let the stomach and liver have as easy a time as roasible ; stop business and all worriment and retrenoh expenditures in every way poasibK Do exactly what a bankrupt man would do who had oeen living too rapidly and who wished to ref cm and retrieve bis fortune ns far »s possible By improved rutrition the size of the daily supply B'ream can be somewhat increased, but .remember we can only get the tank full again by proper notrluye and restorative tonio treatment by a timely ani faithful use of that great remedy Clements' Tonia. This medioine iB an essential food to the coiporeal system, it is the greatest restorative of impaired energy ever discovered or prepared. In cases of nervous debility, eeneral weakness, neuralgia and onlinucd tootlnohe its action is sure, prompt, and effectual. Its use must be continued if a permanent cure is expeoted, for Mine times owinjr to digestive weakness tho first few bottles are almost entirely wasted owing to the debility of tho atoaach aud assimilative organs; in other cases where digestion is strong, the first few doses have what appears a magical effect. We can only say, EO far as wears concerned, that our article is genuine, and that if any article known tosoienoe will cure disease Clements Tonio is that article. If that fails you can rest assured all other remedies will, but we have never yet met the ease where Clements' Tonio has been persistently used and failed, Read these proofs: "J. C. Fitzpatrick, Esq, gives his reliable testimony, he was a sufferer from general weak, uess but Clements' Tonic cured him. ' Gazette' Office, Windsor N.S.W. Sir,— For come timo I have been testing the efficacy of Clements' Tonio, and havo proved this preparation to be' ope of the most valuable ever placed before the public, I havo for some time been suffering from overwork, and noting that Clements' Tonic was very highly spoken of in many of my exchange?, I decided to give it a trial, with the result that I Breedi'y became reinvigor. ated, secured a reform of my usual activity, and was relieved of the lassitude and ner« vousness which had afllioted me for 6ome considerable time. 1 can really recommend Clements' Tonic, more particularly to brother journalists, whose. professioual duties, if not altogether arduous, are at least continuous, and demand a deal o£ their time • and attention, Newspaper work carrieß'withita great deal of resnonsibility and care, aod a stimulating brain tonic is actually necessary ; but the question iswhat is best? Out of all. I have cried I must decide that Clements'Tonichad been the most invigorat ng, and to journalistß and all of sedentary habits it must prove a great acquisition and a boon of ths most valuable character.,' "Austral Chambeis, .19, Eliza-beth-Btreet. Sydney August 15,1889. F. M, Clements, Esq-Dear Sir,—For many months, sleep, and appetite .and nerve power had almost deserted me, and, at timeß,l suffered such severe nervoua and •neuralgic headache?, that life was almost unbearable, After trying many 'safe and sure cures' without reliif, I was persuaded to' give Clements' Tooio a trial, and am very glad I did so, for r.ow lam quite free from pain, oin sleep well," and do all my business with a degree of pleasure that 1 havo not ex*, porienccd for some months, It will give mo much pleasure to recommend Clements Tonio to all my friends and cnslomers on the roads that I travel, and, wishing the remedy every succers,—l remain, yours faithfully, J. T. BoUSDs," Send for out medical guide, poßt tree, on application to E, M. Clements Newtown' N,S,W, A Broken Hill miner had charged a bole, and while being hauled out ot the way, the busket caught in the timber, •aud ho was precipitated a distance of 23 feet, right on to the fizzing fuee.
