Of tho faces lined with scheming In the throng thathurries by*' :From tho aleoploj-s thoughts'.endeavour ■ Twould go where the children play, For a dreamer Jives for ow, Anda thiuker dies in a day, 1 1 can feel no pride, but pity, !, For Ihu'bunl«iis 'he rich endure ; There is nothing sweet in the city' Hut the pttlieist lives of ihe poor. Oh, the little hands too skilful, . Aud (he child mind choki'd with .weeds! The daughter's heart grown wilful, And the father's heart that bleeds! No.-No! from the atrootf'rude bustle, From trophies of mart and stage, 1 would lly to the woods' low rustle . Aud ihe meadows' kindly page.
